Walkers Cay Fishing

Walkers Cay

Bertram/Hatteras Shootout – Walkers 1988

Although the Walkers Cay, Bahamas Resort & Marina closed down in 2004 due to the hurricanes Frances & Jeanne, the Sport Fishing, Diving and Spearfishing continue to be better than ever.  Somewhat off the beaten path from those on their way to the Abacos, Walkers has always been a favorite fishing destination for anglers worldwide.

Walkers Cay Fishing has it all, marlin, tuna, wahoo, mahi, grouper, mutton snapper  yellowtail & hogfish are all plentiful in this area of  the Northern Bahamas.

Grand Cay is  the now a great place to base out of.  You can get accomodations, gas, diesel, incredible cracked conch at Rosies and some of the best Bahamian bread in all the islands at “Iris and Daughters” Bakery behind the fish house. The customs office on Walkers Cay remains open, and airstrip still stays active to service the needs of Grand Cay.
